We believe small groups are the secret to effective home education. With a maximum of 4 children per class, every child can actively participate, ask questions, and receive real feedback — something impossible in a classroom of 30. It is one of our core commitments and we never compromise on it.
How much does a private session cost?
Private 1-to-1 sessions start from as little as £10 per hour, making them genuinely accessible for families who want dedicated individual attention. Sessions can be booked on a pay-as-you-go basis with no monthly commitment, and they can be combined with any group class plan.
How soon can my child start?
In most cases, your child can attend their first class this week. Once you submit your enquiry, a member of our team will be in touch within 24 hours to confirm your free trial class slot. We typically have availability across most subjects and year groups within a few days.
Are your tutors DBS-checked?
Yes — every Acavita tutor undergoes an enhanced DBS check before they can teach on our platform. We also verify qualifications, conduct a live teaching observation, and collect references. Your child's safety is our highest priority.
Is this suitable for full-time home educators?
Absolutely. Many of our families use Acavita as their primary educational provider. Our Family plan gives access to 20 group classes per month for up to 2 children, and we can help you build a complete weekly timetable aligned to the National Curriculum or an alternative framework.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes — no lock-in contracts, no cancellation fees. Pause or cancel your subscription at any time from your parent dashboard. Any unused classes in your current billing period remain available until the end of that month.
What does my child need to join a class?
Any device with a modern browser, a webcam, and a stable internet connection. Classes run through our built-in virtual classroom — no downloads required. A tablet or laptop provides the best experience.
